Switching to Statamic

Wordpress isn't my favorite. I just want a simple blog. I don't need the search, users, stats or plugins. I sort of liked using MarsEdit on the desktop, but it seemed like copy/paste to or from MarsEdit required manually removing tons of oddball characters.

Given the choice between using the Wordpress content editor or Mars Edit I chose to switch platforms.

So I'm now using Statamic, and writing markdown inside Nova for now. I used the Cool Writings starter, but upgraded it to Tailwind 2, and Laravel Mix 6. I also included light/dark mode support.

The site is faster, and easier to maintain now. All wins.
