MacOS Dock Placement

My MacOS dock has been on the left of the screen since about 2006. I don’t know why I made the change, but after I made it I never reconsidered it. I’m a developer and having that extra height for long files seemed reasonable.

After watching the John Siracusa window management video I decided to try out the bottom dock lifestyle again. It has been a few hours now and it feels better down there.

It is easier to ignore down there and I don’t miss that little bit of extra vertical space. It is also easier to access.

UPDATE - 4 months later
It is better, can’t imagine going back to side dock now. I was a fool.
